Babson College educates young people to be entrepreneurial leaders in a rapidly changing world. Babson students learn to identify opportunities and initiate actions resulting in genuine accomplishment. The innovative curricula at Babson challenge students to think creatively and across disciplinary boundaries. Babson cultivates the willingness to take and manage risk, the ability to energize others towards a goal, and the courage to act responsibly.

Students at Babson appreciate that leadership requires technical knowledge as well as a sophisticated understanding of societies, cultures, institutions, and self. They welcome the challenge of learning continuously, taking responsibility for their careers, and becoming key contributors in the world’s established enterprises as well as emerging ventures.

Babson College reaches across institutional and geographic boundaries to forge relationships with individuals and organizations who share their commitment to excellence and innovation.

Babson Accelerator
All students are invited to apply to the Accelerator Program which provides students with professional and semi-private workspace as well as access to world class faculty, executives in residence, serial entrepreneurs, and a network of professional service providers.

There is no cost to participate in the program but all student businesses are invited to contribute a percentage of their equity position to Babson through its Founder’s Fund. This fund was created by alumni as a “venture capital fund” used to support Babson’s mission of providing entrepreneurial education.

E-Tower
E-Tower is a living community for undergraduate student entrepreneurs who are actively developing business plans and running companies. Living together unites and immerses them in an innovative, high energy environment that promotes creation, evolution, and implementation of new venture ideas.

Babson Entrepreneurship Competitions and Events:

The Creative Thinking Contest is an undergraduate competition designed to honor all forms of the creative process as they intersect with entrepreneurial thinking.

Rocket Pitch is an event that provides students with three minutes to quickly and succinctly deliver the critical differentiating elements of their business ideas.

The Business Plan Competition was the first of its kind in higher education. Finalists are selected by more than 400 alumni around the world who evaluate and provide feedback to the students virtually. Monetary and in-kind prizes are awarded to the top three finalists.

Student of the Year Award is bestowed by Babson alumni to honor an undergraduate student who is running a successful business while in school.

The Babson Entrepreneurial Energy Expo is a forum that welcomes students to join leading professionals and companies to discus how clean energy innovation will drive a new era of energy, economics and policy.

Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship

All first-year undergraduate students jump into entrepreneurial thought and action with Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME), a required practicum in new venture creation. With funding provided by the College, student teams plan and develop a for-profit venture, then launch, manage, and liquidate it, selecting a local social service agency to receive its profits.
