The Entrepreneurship Program, Billiken Angels Network and Center for Entrepreneurship at Saint Louis University exist to fulfill Saint Louis University’s overall ambition to promote entrepreneurship in a variety of ways.

Through both the entrepreneurship program and its website (http://eWeb.slu.edu), Saint Louis University helps students actually become entrepreneurs – or, if they already have their business, become better entrepreneurs. As educators, SLU faculty members feel they have a responsibility to develop not only entrepreneurs, but also new materials that contribute to the discipline of entrepreneurship education. For example, over 220 colleges use the entrepreneurship and small business text developed from Saint Louis University’s program.

SLU’s Entrepreneurship Program offers an undergraduate concentration (major) and supporting area (minor) in Entrepreneurship as well as an MBA area of emphasis (major).

Student Competitions
With over $50,000 in prizes annually, these include competitions for 90-second elevator pitches, 10-minute new idea competitions, 15-minute innovation promotions, half-hour social venture concepts, and full business plan presentations. Elevator pitch, new idea and innovation competition winners at SLU go onto national finals in these events, while business plan and social venture winners get to present for investments to start their organizations.

Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO)
The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization is SLU's campus-wide student group supporting entrepreneurship. CEO operates several small businesses to help students gain valuable experience in owning and managing working businesses, as well as helping students connect with people and resources that can help them get their own businesses started. Other student opportunities include the annual Kern Engineering Entrepreneurship Convention and the Self-Employment in the Arts National Meeting.

Center for Entrepreneurship
The goal of the Center for Entrepreneurship is to assist in building a region of entrepreneurs by both providing and supporting a variety of programs for current and prospective entrepreneurs at Saint Louis University, as well as throughout the region, the nation and the world. The Center connects SLU students to outreach, consulting, networking and internship opportunities in the region.

Billiken Angels
One of the few University-based angel networks in the country, the Billiken Angels invests funds and expertise in businesses that can “make a difference” in lives and in the economy of the region. The program exclusively focuses on growing the businesses of current SLU students and alums. The Billiken Angels also involve SLU students in finding and evaluating business opportunities.
Mentoring at SLU

The Entrepreneurship Program and Center for Entrepreneurship are firm believers in the value of mentoring, and work hard to make arrangements for their students and alums to share in the kinds of mentoring opportunities that can help make them happier, more rounded and more successful entrepreneurs. Programs include a Mentor-In-Residence at the Center for Entrepreneurship, in-class mentoring opportunities, and fun programs such as Eat With an Entrepreneur in which three students share a meal with a famous local entrepreneur from the students’ chosen industry.
